National

    1. The National Network of Abortion Funds is a network of over 100 grassroots groups in more than 40 states that help people pay for abortion services they can’t otherwise afford.
    2. Access Reproductive Care-Southeast provides funding assistance on a case-by-case basis for costs associated with abortion, including travel and accommodations. They work directly with clinics and patients in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee to determine where financial assistance is most appropriate.
    3. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a federation of over 90 affiliates that operate 850 health centers across the country. In addition to family planning, many of the affiliates provide abortion services within a range of gestational limits. PPFA clinics are subjected to standards set forth by the organization itself to adhere to the highest quality abortion care according to evidence-based practices. Patients seeking abortions at Planned Parenthood affiliates may be eligible for funding through individual clinic resources.

Alabama

    1. The Linda D. Foundation provides $150 per patient for costs associated with an abortion, including travel. The fund prefers to work with patients accessing care at the Alabama Women’s Center in Huntsville, but will consider patients going elsewhere on a case by case basis. Additionally, people attempting to access funds through the Linda D. Foundation must have first gone through the National Abortion Federation for pre-approval before any funds may be provided.
    2. The Yellowhammer Fund provides financial assistance on a case by case basis for patients accessing care at the West Alabama Women’s Clinic in Tuscaloosa, Reproductive Health Services in Montgomery, or the Alabama Women’s Center in Huntsville.

Arkansas

    1. The Arkansas Abortion Support Network provides financial assistance for pregnant people residing in Arkansas. They work primarily with the Little Rock Family Planning clinic to offset the cost of the procedure, but are also able to assist with travel, accommodation, or childcare expenses on a case by case basis. People seeking assistance must have an appointment at a clinic, and are asked to contact the National Abortion Federation for assistance before any assistance from AASN is provided.

Colorado

    1. The Reproductive Equality Fund of the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center is a fund that helps support abortion services for people who need financial assistance with the cost of an abortion at the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center. Recipients must have an abortion scheduled at this clinic. Funds are only used to help offset costs of the abortion and cannot be used for other financial needs.
    2. The Women’s Freedom Fund provides financial assistance to individuals who need it and are obtaining an abortion in Colorado. They work with providers to help determine the level of assistance needed on a case by case basis.

Florida

    1. The Broward Women’s Emergency Fund provides funding assistance for patients who have scheduled appointments at AASTRA Women’s Center, East Cypress Women’s Center, or Michael Benjamin, MD. Patients should inform the clinic they need financial assistance and the clinic will contact the fund to see if they have resources available.
    2. The Central Florida Women’s Emergency Fund provides funding assistance on a case-by-case basis with Planned Parenthood or NAF affiliated clinics in central Florida. People seeking assistance must have an appointment at a qualifying clinic, where the clinic will assess for financial need and contact the fund.
    3. The Emergency Medical Assistance, Inc. Fund provides financial assistance to patients seeking an abortion in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast. People seeking assistance must have an appointment at a qualifying clinic, where the clinic will assess for financial need and contact the fund.
    4. The Women’s Emergency Network provides assistance for people getting abortions in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties through a group of partner clinics. Clinic staff assess for financial need and contact the fund.

Illinois

    1. The Planned Parenthood of Illinois Reproductive Justice Fund provides funding assistance for patients who are seeking an abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Illinois. People seeking to make an appointment for an abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Illinois should ask about financial assistance when they call to make their appointment.

Kentucky

    1. The Kentucky Support Network (KSN) is a statewide organization that helps people who are seeking abortion care and facing barriers. KSN can help with clinic information and referrals as well as provide help with transportation, language interpretation, and financial assistance. Louisiana

    1. The New Orleans Abortion Fund works with people who have appointments at any of the three clinics in Louisiana.

Mississippi

    1. The Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Project is a fund available for people seeking abortion at the Jackson Women’s Health Organization in Jackson, or for people seeking abortion who live in Mississippi but are going to an out-of-state clinic.

North Carolina

    1. The Carolina Abortion Fund provides money to help North Carolina women pay for abortion care. For more information call 855-518-4603.

Nebraska

    1. The Abortion Access Fund provides financial assistance, lodging, and transportation for people with an abortion scheduled at Dr. Carhart’s clinic in Bellevue, NE.

New York

    1. The New York Abortion Access Fund provides money to help pregnant people in New York pay for abortion care. For more information call 212-252-4757.
    2. New York’s state Medicaid program offers coverage for abortion for pregnant people who meet the income requirements (note: there is no citizenship status requirement for Medicaid coverage). Ohio

    1. Women Have Options is a statewide abortion fund for people seeking care at most abortion clinics in Ohio.

Oklahoma

    1. The Roe Fund helps pregnant people in Oklahoma with low and no income obtain referral and financial assistance for abortions. The Roe Fund is a program of the Oklahoma Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. South Carolina

    1. The SC Women’s Choice Fund can provide financial assistance for people seeking an abortion in South Carolina. For more information about the resources available through the SC Women’s Choice Fund, call 843-718-4657.
    2. The Carolina Abortion Fund provides some money to help pregnant people in South Carolina pay for abortion care. For more information, call 855-518-4603.

Virginia

  1. The Blue Ridge Abortion Assistance Fund assists people who live in central and western Virginia to offset the cost of first trimester abortions. Only pregnant people living in these regions are eligible for first trimester funding, but the fund will also assist pregnant people seeking second trimester abortions who live anywhere in Virginia as long as they are using a clinic in Richmond. The funds can be used to pay for the cost of the abortion, the required ultrasound, or travel expenses. The money is given directly to the clinic the patient has chosen.
  2. The Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project offers assistance to pregnant people seeking abortion in the Richmond area.
  3. The DC Abortion Fund assists pregnant people seeking aspiration abortion who live in Virginia, Washington, DC, or Maryland, or are traveling to clinics within those states.

Legal defense

  1. The Repro Legal Defense Fund covers bail and funds strong defenses for people who are investigated, arrested, or prosecuted for self-managed abortion.
