Description
ODIE is a collection of clothing & accessories designed to shed light on recorded historical untruths & recurrent issues affecting marginalized communities.
By spreading social justice truths through graphic messaging on clothing, ODIE intends to start a dialogue between the wearer & the questioner—one piece at a time.
Inspired in part by Howard Zinn’s ‘A People’s History of the United States,’ the influential non-fiction work that presents a factual history of Amerikkka, ODIE seeks to educate the misinformed through fashion in an assertive, accessible way. For all marginalized ancestors of history & modern-day society— from people of color, to women, native people, & members of the LGBTQI A community— ODIE is wearable commentary for those who refuse to be silenced.
30% of each sale is donated towards Vote New Orleans, an organization dedicated to restoring the full human and civil rights of those most impacted by the criminal (in)justice system.
